The Pakistan Monument in Islamabad is a national monument. and heritage museum located on the western Shakarparian Hills. It was built to commemorate the sacrifices made by the people of Pakistan in the creation of the country. The monument is in the shape of a blooming flower with petals representing the four provinces and three territories of Pakistan.

Designed by architect Arif Masood, the monument was completed in 2007 and officially opened to the public in 2009. It stands at 43 meters high and covers an area of 2.8 hectares. The monument is made of marble and granite .and features a central platform surrounded by four large .petals representing the provinces of Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The three smaller petals represent the territories of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

The museum is divided into six galleries, each dedicated to a different aspect of Pakistan’s history. including the Indus Valley Civilization, the Islamic Period, the British Raj, the Pakistan Movement, and the post-independence period. Visitors can also learn about the contributions of famous Pakistanis to the country’s history.

The monument also features an audio-visual presentation that highlights. The history of Pakistan from the Indus Valley Civilization to the present day. Visitors can also climb to the top of the monument for panoramic views of the city of Islamabad.
